Designers Spill on Rug Inspiration
Readers may be surprised to learn that the majority of Perennials Rugs end up in indoor living spaces. From living rooms to bedrooms to kitchens, Perennials Rugs make the best indoor rug option because of their Grade A performance properties. Perennials’ 100% solution dyed yarns allow for supreme softness underfoot, while resisting stains, mildew, and fading. Another added benefit? If a guest drops a glass of red wine, clients can pull out the bleach without fear of discoloration! Talk about living fearlessly!
Soothing Baby Blue
Perennials Rugs uprooted the performance rug industry by taking typical outdoor constructions and bringing them indoors. For instance, a flatwoven construction is ideal poolside as it resists soaking up excess water. However, Perennials’ flatwoven rugs are ultra soft as they feature Perennials yarns. So it does not surprise us UK designer Laura Passey placed a flatwoven rug indoors. Passey customized our Crescendo style with a unique light blue ombre colorway, resulting in an incredibly soothing design.
The inspiration for this scheme came from the movement and colours of the sea. The ombre design of the Crescendo rug, reminded me of waves gently rolling in and out, lapping at the shoreline.
Bold Graphics
Kansas City interior designer Lisa Schmitz anchored this contemporary living room design with a Tibetan knot design by fellow Kansas City designers Porter Teleo. Woodblock features a bold black and white pattern that perfectly complements this monochrome design.
Dream in Neutrals
Marie Flanigan Interiors excels in sophisticated yet livable luxury design. Flanigan chose a neutral heathered flatwoven rug to accompany a serene bedroom setting. Part of our collection with Restoration Hardware, this rug is in stock and made with Perennials’ proprietary 100% SDA yarns.
How would you anchor a room? Graphic pattern or textural neutral?
